DTH services, done properly
Six jobs cover almost every call we get in Ramanathapuram. Each one is a single doorstep visit, with the price agreed before anything starts.
New DTH Installation
A dish is only as good as where it is put. We find the spot on your wall or roof with the clearest line of sight, mount it solidly, and aim it until the signal reading is strong — not just “working”.
What’s included
- Site check for obstructions — trees, water tanks, neighbouring walls
- Bracket fixed into solid masonry, not plaster
- Cable run clipped along the wall, weather-sealed at the LNB
- Signal strength and quality readings shown to you before we leave
- Full channel scan and a quick walkthrough of the remote
Typical time on site: 60–90 minutes.
No Signal Fixing
This is the call we get most. “No signal” on screen is a symptom, not a diagnosis — and swapping the box when the real fault is a corroded connector just wastes your money.
How we find the actual cause
- Signal meter on the cable to see whether the dish is delivering anything
- LNB checked for water ingress and heat damage — a very common failure here
- Connectors and cable inspected end to end for corrosion or rodent damage
- Dish position verified against the correct satellite before touching anything
- Set-top box tested last, once the outside is confirmed good
Before you call: note the error code on screen and whether it affects all channels or only some. It often tells us the fault before we arrive — and can save you a visit.
Dish Alignment
Dishes drift. Wind pushes them, birds land on them, someone leans a ladder against one. A couple of degrees is enough to turn a rock-solid picture into one that pixelates every evening.
What we do
- Re-aim on azimuth, elevation and skew — all three, not just the obvious one
- Peak the signal with a meter rather than eyeballing the on-screen bar
- Tighten and lock the mount so it holds through the next monsoon
- Check the bracket itself for rust or loose masonry fixings
Typical time on site: 30–45 minutes.
Set-Top Box Setup
New box, replacement box, or an old one that has started freezing. We get it paired, scanned and running — and we do not leave until you can work it yourself.
What’s included
- Box connected by HDMI where your TV supports it, so you actually get HD
- Activation and pairing with your account completed on the spot
- Full channel scan, favourites and language settings sorted
- Remote programmed so one handset runs both TV and box
- A plain-language walkthrough — no jargon, as many times as you need
DTH Relocation
Shifting house is stressful enough. We take the dish down without damaging it, refit it at the new address and have you watching the same day — often before the rest of the boxes are unpacked.
What’s included
- Careful removal of dish, LNB, bracket and cable from the old address
- New site surveyed for line of sight before we drill anything
- Full remount, realignment and signal test at the new place
- Honest advice if the old cable or LNB is too worn to reuse
Tip: book the relocation for the same day you move in — it is one less thing to chase later.
Cable & Wiring Work
Cable is the part everyone forgets. Sun, rain and rats work on it for years, and then one evening the picture goes and nobody can see why. We replace it properly and route it so it lasts.
What’s included
- Old or damaged coaxial cable replaced end to end
- Proper compression connectors, not twisted-on temporary joins
- Outdoor joints weather-sealed so water cannot track in
- Clean runs clipped along skirting and walls — not draped across the room
- Extra cable run if you are moving the TV to another room
You hear the price first. Always.
We do not publish a rate card, because a fair price depends on what is actually wrong. What we do promise is that you will never be surprised by the bill.
Diagnosis, then a number
The technician checks the fault first and then tells you the cost and the parts needed. You decide before any work starts.
No charge for a no-fix
If we genuinely cannot solve it, we tell you what it needs and who can help. We are not going to invent a repair to justify the trip.
Parts explained, not assumed
If an LNB or cable needs replacing we show you why. You are welcome to keep the old part.
It does not matter — we service all five
Before you book
Yes, someone over 18 should be there. We need access to the TV and the set-top box to test properly, and we want you to see the signal reading and agree the price before we start.
Of course. A good part of our work is sorting out installations done in a hurry — loose brackets, unsealed connectors, cable stapled straight through the sheath. We will tell you what we find without making a drama of it.
We work on the DTH side — dish, LNB, cable and set-top box. If the fault turns out to be inside the television, we will say so plainly rather than charging you for guesswork, and point you to someone who repairs sets.
If the same fault comes back shortly after we have been, we come back and look at it again. Parts carry whatever warranty the manufacturer gives, and we will tell you what that is at the time.
Yes, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Sunday is often when people notice the problem, so it is one of our busier days — call early if you can.
Tell us what the screen is doing
Call or send a photo on WhatsApp. Most of the time we can tell you the likely cause before we set out.
